Qualifications:
B.Occ. Ther. (Occupational Therapy, Hons),
Postgrad. Certificate in Clinical Rehabilitation

Skills:

Activities of Daily Living Reports
Life Care Plans
Customisation of Equipment in particular seating
Training in 24 hour postural management approach

Experience:

• 14 years experience as an Occupational Therapist
• Experience in both public and private sectors assessing and treating children and adults with a variety of diagnoses in acute and long term facilities
• Experience in assessment and treatment of very young and older children with mild to moderate learning difficulties, children with cerebral palsy, orthopaedic conditions and progressive medical conditions such as muscular dystrophy
• Extensive experience in the assessment of children and adults with spinal cord injuries and cerebral palsy for mobility equipment and the provision and customisation of seating products for wheelchairs and other equipment for personal care
• Experience in assessing patients from a variety of cultures for care and equipment requirements, including complex needs
• Working with clients in rural and metropolitan settings in both South Africa, United Kingdom, New Zealand and Australia
